PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS: Due to extreme winds and fire evacuation orders impacting coaches, staff and families, we are cancelling all youth soccer practices today (Wednesday, October 14). We are also cancelling after-school Yoga for Kids. Youth Volleyball is still on for tonight. Adult Softball is pending. We will make a decision on softball by 2p.m.
Beryl Bailey rode the “Bike to the Beach” (actual, not virtual) the past 2 years, raising money for a private school where she taught students with neurological differences such as autism. This year, Bailey is riding for Bloom Fitness, a community focused around fitness and wellness that provides athletes with a feeling of belonging. The program offers people with intellectual and developmental disABILITIES an inviting and safe environment to exercise, learn about healthy lifestyle choices, and have social interaction. Ms.
We have a great testimonial from Mike Richardson about Chazz's 7:30 a.m. Thursday yoga class at the Rec, "Yoga is a great way to start the day, it wakes my mind and body up, big time! Chazz’s class is challenging in a good way. Her class is what you make of it, you do what you are capable of doing and she allows you to do that. What most guys don’t realize about yoga - it is extremely challenging but yet accessible - you do it at your own level. Chazz is an amazing instructor.
On Tuesday, October 13, 5 local golfers will participate in this unique fundraising event! Austin Logan, Rene Archambault, Tim Hull, Brad Doggett and Megan Miller will play approximately 450 holes of golf from dawn to dusk.
