While we’re closed due to COVID-19 mandates, your fitness partners at the Rec have found a way to connect with you. Vicki Jennings, Jackie Nelson and Patricia Gaultier-Owen have each created Facebook groups for you to join. From these groups you can access your favorite class  in a remote setting. Facility Closure Updates

March 25, 2020 – EVRPD Facility Closures – In response to the threat of novel coronavirus and in accordance with county and state “stay-at-home” directives, all Estes Valley Recreation and Park District (EVRPD) enterprise facilities are closed until further notice.

In our current era of social distancing, quarantine and isolation, don’t be afraid to pick up the phone or go online to find answers to your questions or help with your problems. There are organizations, support groups and volunteers ready to assist and support you! As always, check with your insurance provider for remote therapy coverage.

Phone Partipation Option for March 17 EVRPD Board Meeting

Based on current public health recommendations for social-distancing measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District has elected to offer public participation by phone for the March 17th Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors.

March 11, 2020 – In response to the threat of novel coronavirus, the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District (EVRPD) will adhere to the guidance of federal, state and local health professionals – as well as the EVRPD Board of Directors – regarding whether to implement precautionary changes to our normal schedule of operations. 

Golf Course Updates

Our summer is looking great at both courses, if our 2020 Denver Golf Expo results are any indication. We had our best year ever at the event, despite challenging weather and driving conditions. We offer a great deal on golf at the Expo for golfers from across the country to enjoy our beautiful courses at very affordable rates. More than 100 golfers took advantage of our annual pass expo special!

Wintertime Fitness - Go jump in the pool!

For those of us fortunate enough to call Estes Park home, we cherish our time outdoors. Except, it’s February. We could enjoy a gorgeous bluebird day with bright sun and blue skies over the snow-covered mountains; just perfect for a hike…or…the weather could be windy, snowy and not conducive to that hike at all. It’s not surprising that research shows exercise levels decrease in the wintertime.

In a 2017 article written for The Motley Fool, Matthew Frankel described some interesting statistics about the Boomers.  “Despite the common perception of the millennial "start-up" culture, baby boomers are twice as likely as millennials to start a new business. Furthermore, 45% of baby boomers consider themselves to be entrepreneurs”.
